If you would rather search the GRO Index online, then in the first instance try FreeBMD . This has over 163 million names between 1837 and about 1901. This is a free site. Another option is to go to is FindMyPast. This has a lot of all Births, Marriages and Deaths from 1837 to 2001 - However this is NOT a free site. They also have census information and parish records. The largest pay site of all is probably Ancestry.com - They have details of censuses from 1841 to 1901, Birth, Marriages & Death details and a lot more. Suffolk libraries provide free access to Ancestry.
